Christmas present discussion between Joe and Micah

I feel like this discussion needs a little back story.. Micah’s been asking for a Luigi toy for months, and we keep telling him maybe for Christmas.

Joe “Micah stop playing with the presents. Please put them back under the tree”

Micah “Ok”

Joe “You have to wait for Christmas to open the presents”

Micah “Yeah Luigi”

Joe “Maybe, you’ll have to wait and see, but if you don’t get Luigi it’s ok because Christmas isn’t about presents”

Micah “Yeah I’ll just cry”

Joe “No need to cry Christmas isn’t about presents or you or mommy or daddy. It’s about Jesus.”

Micah “yeah ok”

Micah's First Haircut

Joe and I took Micah into the salon today so I could give him his first haircut. He said “cut, cut” just about the whole way to the salon. He did a really good job for being so tired. I gave him a water bottle to squirt the mirror with so he would sit still, but instead he squirted himself the whole time. One hundred pictures and one soaking wet shirt later and he had a cute little hair style! He was so exhausted he fell asleep on the way home.

Micah’s First Easter

He woke up a little bit cranky and upset. Little did he know he would be on a hunt for easter eggs. He loved it and was showing off for his mommy and daddy. He was so proud when he found, grabbed and shook the eggs. We put change, baby snacks and toys in them. We all had a great day and enjoy watching our little man grow up so very fast.

Baby, your growing too fast. You grew out of your first pair when you were born. There was a min. When you didn’t have any shoes that fit so dad took you out and hooked you up!

A kiss for mom

I love hearing your little voice call my name. Everything you do amazes me. You’re learning so fast. I feel like I just started teaching you about kisses, and you are already giving them away. You kissed me for the first time this evening right after we ate dinner. I’m not sure if it was because you were so happy that I let you eat my food or just because you love me so much. You just crawled right up to me and gave me a big, sweet kiss right on the lips! It was so sweet and unexpected that I cried a little bit. I love you so much. I’m so proud of you. Thank you for the kiss. I’ll cherish that special moment forever.

Micah Walks!

Its been a while, we have been super busy with school and keeping up with the little Micah man. We will do our best to keep posting but in the meantime enjoy this little guy and the walking skills he had started acquiring at 9 months old! Its a bummer we haven’t been able to capture him on the Flip MinoHD but here are a couple. We were pretty surprised and excited. Also very proud of Micah very much so.
